Walk Description:
Kitty’s Gorge Walk on the Serpentine River. We have done this walk before, and it was very enjoyable. We will follow Serpentine Gorge to Gooralong Brook and then into Kitty’s Gorge passing impressive granite outcrops and waterfalls.
The walk is graded as class 4. We can expect some steep sections and a bit of uneven ground. Wear sturdy shoes/boots. The distance is around 14km return. There is a park fee of $17 | Concession $10 per standard vehicle, so there is a benefit in sharing lifts from the meeting place.
We will meet in the car park at the rear of the Dome Cafe, Kelmscott and carpool to the start of the walk.
As usual bring plenty of water, sun and rain protection and something warm to wear, a picnic lunch and optional snacks. If you’re not a member, it’s $5 for insurance fee.
